Jesus Loves You

Tell Him your mess: He listens.
Flight is usually the immediate response we tend to give to wrongdoings as humans. As soon as we realize we’ve sinned against God, our first thought of action is to find a place of refuge, away from Him. We begin to see ourselves in the most filthiest way possible and see Him to be too holy to get close to. We therefore distant ourselves from any thing and everything that has to do with Him. At that point in our lives, we start isolating ourselves from His word, principles and even His house, with the belief that our unholiness would be misfit in his presence. But think about this; between light and darkness, which is able to stand amidst all odds?
Light, of course! And that is who our Lord is! The light of the world! His light is capable of shinning through any darkness that even the darkness comprends it not(John 1:5). So, what makes you think he would forsake you when you go contrary to His word? That is the point in our lives that He seeks to have a fellowship with us the most and would even try every means possible to get us back to His presence(Matthew 18:12-14). He clearly knows that when we fall out of the fold, we become very vulnerable to the devises of the devil and wouldnt want any harm to come against us. Therefore, this is the time of our lives when He expects us to draw nearer to Him and talk about the sin.
This was something King David knew about and used it to his advantage, anytime he got caught up in sin. He understood the immensity of God’s love and took the utmost privilege in using it effectively, although he wasn’t the best of men. He got caught up in sin several times, even to the extent of killing and committing adultery. But guess what? He was the one God ended up describing as the man after His heart! (Matthew 13:22)
This should tell us that, no matter how sinful we may think we are, we should never try running away from His presence. It should be the perfect chance for us to enjoy His everlasting love. Get closer to Him, let it all out and He will willing accept you with open arms.
