You are the church:

You are the Church; Not the Building
In these trying times when the whole world has been hit by a global pandemic, everything seems to be on a standstill. People are not going to work, schools have been closed down and even Christians have been barred from having their usual fellowship. Many countries are in a total lockdown while several people globally, are on a mandatory quarantine. Nothing goes out and nothing comes in.
We are at a point where we feel all is lost and don’t know where to turn. However, just remember one thing; Fear Not. Let your faith reign over the fear. God knew we would need to hear this all the days of our lives, and that is why it was repeated 365 times in the Bible.
Dear brethren in the Lord, Fear not for he will neither leave you nor forsake you. He that began a good work in you, will surely lead you to an expected end. I know my Christian brothers and sisters out there would definitely be worried about the closing down of churches and the caution on social distancing.
Do not lose hope my brethren. You are supposed to be the Church and not the Building. Anytime we hear the word ‘Church’, all we think about is a building we are supposed to fellowship in, on Sundays. However, that’s contrary to the truth. We, the people of God, are the ones who make up the church.
In Romans 16:5, the Apostle Paul made reference to that when he addressed the fellowshipers in Priscilla’s house as, “The Church.” Even if you do not get that chance to fellowship together, you can still play your part as “the Church”, and do the needful.
