How much faith is enough?<\/p>\n\n\n\n
There are so many instances when our faith hasn’t felt enough. During the times a loved one battles for his life in the hospital; the times when your finances are crumbling down, with no point of escape or when you are trying so much to hold on to that job, but all signs of job termination points right back at you. What do you do? The strength to even hold on to God during these times seems unavailable, and your trust in Him begins to waver. However, you’re still entreated to have faith. But one question lingers, “How much faith in God is enough to surpass your troubles?”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201c<\/em>The simple truth is that if you had a mere kernel of faith, a mustard seed, you would tell this mountain <\/em>\u2018<\/em>Move!<\/em>\u2019<\/em> and it would move. There is nothing you wouldn<\/em>\u2019<\/em>t be able to tackle.<\/em>\u201d<\/em> (Matthew 17:20)<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n Faith, as tiny as that of a mustard seed is all you need! With that, you’re capable of moving your life’s mountains. If you possess just a little faith, enough to take a step, God comes through to clear all the clouds of doubt. If we\u2019re willing to act on what little faith we have, God will surely do the rest! All He wants you to do is to believe that He’s capable.<\/p>\n\n\n\n However, this is only possible when you eliminate fear. Where there is fear, there is no faith and when there is Faith, there is no fear. The spirit of fear breeds doubt, and weakens the power of faith. Therefore, if you continuously welcome thoughts of fear and apprehension, doubt sets in and you will be forced to question the power of God. You will end up focusing on your issues and how difficult they are, instead of focusing on how big your God is. Have faith, over fear!<\/p>\n\n\n\n Also, your faith grows in believing. When you believe God for small things and see the results, your next step is to trust Him for bigger things. As time goes on, you will learn to solely depend on Him for all other things. When you do this, your immediate source of refuge would be in God when hard times come.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Therefore, be still and know that He is God. Cast your burdens on him, and He’ll surely give rest.
